America the Beautiful

Even though our country has many problems, it is still the best country in the world. Many people do not appreciate the freedom we have. They grumble and complain about every nit pickin' thing. Our flag stands for freedom, as well as the cross for Christianity. These symbols are a reminder that we should honor what they stand for.

Many children come from war-torn countries where freedom does not exist; where medical treatment is only for the elite; no food stamps, welfare, nor anyone that even cares that scores of children are starving or suffering. The American people need to repent for ignoring the poor and destitute. Then, on the other hand, God has moved the hearts of many who give until it hurts. We are a result of that giving. We couldn't make it on our own. God is our provider and He is our refuge. The many, unhappy, broken homes are a result of Godless families. If Mom and Dad had a burning desire to serve God the divorce rate would be much lower. Oh, I'm not going to say you won't have problems.

We were never promised a bed of roses. But when you become a servant of God, He helps you through the storms. Without Him you are alone.

Summer activities are buzzing with excitement. Today some visitors are having Vacation Bible School with our young children. The older ones are on schedule to work. Jerry is returning from Honduras, bringing a little girl back. Carl Hoffman and Jeff Taylor were his traveling companions this time. I'll write about their trip in the next newsletter.

The Angel House addition is under roof and at a standstill, until more designated funds come in. The Youth Center is, upon completion, to be ready for our daughter Jessica's wedding on July 15th. A lot of preparation is necessary to make this a memorable and holy day.

The campaign for the new restaurant is starting to generate funds. We are depending on this project to develop the future income to support the Galilean Home. Please pray about becoming a contributor.

We continue to get children who have mommies in prison and children from other countries that need medical treatment. Our Academy educates nearly 70 children and is one of the biggest expenses of this ministry, as most of the children cannot afford tuition. Our payroll, half of our monthly budget, is $80,000 a month.

We are very thankful for the support of our readers and partners-also for all the donated items especially medical supplies and food. We are touching the world for Jesus Christ and doing what we can no matter how little we may help.

Besides bringing children for surgery and or medical treatment, we follow up on them and their families, making sure they have food and education provided for them and their siblings. Their education is not free like we have in this great country and we don't have to let our young children go to war like in the Eastern countries. God Bless America!
